Durable Polycarbonate- What exactly is polycarbonate? According to Webster's dictionary, polycarbonate is a synthetic thermoplastic resin, a linear polymer or carbonic acid used for molded products, films, and non-breakable windows. And Lexan (as in the high performance GE Lexan we use) is a brand of hard, practically unbreakable polycarbonate resin, used for shatterproof windows.

In layman's terms, the GE Lexan polycarbonate used for our window well covers and overlays are also used in SWAT riot gear, Corvette racing windows, airplane windows and on the helmets of NASA astronauts.

Each custom fit cover is supported by extra wide and extra thick aluminum iron cross supports with a double main support that holds up to 800 lbs. of weight.

Each polycarbonate cover is built-to-suit on-site at a slight incline so rainwater, snow and debris slide of instead of pooling on top of the cover.
